Letter to Edward

August 3rd, 1832 letter
to Edward from his mother

Edward, the fifth child of Dan and Elizabeth Huntington, was born in Litchfield, Connecticut on April 25, 1807. He married Helen Maria Williams (1819-1902).

In the early 1830s, Edward lived in Northampton. In 1837, he was in Boston and in 1838 in New Brunswick. In 1839, the family settled in Cabotville, Massachusetts, near Springfield. He was a businessman and in 1841, was editor of the Cabotville Chronicle. Edward died young on October 26, 1843. He apparently had no children. He carefully preserved family letters and the collection contains many letters that Elizabeth sent to Edward, often along with pounds of butter from the farm at "Forty Acres."
